ITHELL COLQUHOUN A LIFE INTRODUCTION The British painter, writer and theorist Ithell Colquhoun is known for her interests in occultism and her brief association with the London Surrealist group in the late 1930s, which gave her a reputation as a surrealist for the rest of her life. She is now recognized as one of the most interesting esoteric thinkers of her time, and even if she was already well-known in the art world, her innovative spirit has been accepted only twenty years after her death.
